Our full-time staff work year-round to develop a program and hire and train staff that will guide campers to discover their greatness both on and off the soccer field.
Paul & Mandie Titley, Directors
Paul & Mandie Titley joined the year-round leadership team at Berkshire Soccer Academy (BSA) in January 2017. Bringing decades of combined experience in youth development and camp administration, they work in tandem to oversee operations, staffing, and camper life. Paul directs staff recruitment and hiring, manages the academy’s soccer and bridge programs, and oversees all summer camp operations. Mandie supports administrative operations throughout the year and leads elective programming during the summer, in addition to working closely with the residential life and wellness team.
Prior to BSA, Paul and Mandie served as full-time Directors for YMCA overnight camps in Washington State, where they oversaw eight-week co-ed residential programs and supervised large seasonal teams. Their dedication to the camp industry began early in their careers: Mandie spent her youth at Camp Tahigwa, a Girl Scout camp where she grew from camper to counselor and eventually director, while Paul started as an international staff member at Iroquois Springs in Rock Hill, New York, serving in leadership roles for seven summers. Fittingly, the two first met at Iroquois Springs, bonded by a shared passion for camp culture.
Paul holds both a B.S. and a Master’s degree from Loughborough University in England and brings a background in competitive aquatics as a former swimmer and water polo player. Mandie earned her B.A. from the University of Northern Iowa and brings extensive experience in theatre for youth. Paul and Mandie live in Waterloo, Iowa, with their children, James and Lucy.

A native of Stratford, Connecticut, Maggie played both soccer and lacrosse at Eastern Connecticut State University. In soccer, she was named a 2015 All-American defender, earned All-Conference honors, and served as team captain. Dan Zenkel, Founder & President
Between 1998 and 2009, Dan founded and ran CampGroup, LLC, the country’s largest owner of private summer camps. During that period, Dan’s daughter, Nikki, played travel soccer for Eastern F.C. and attended both a traditional overnight summer camp and the Eastern F.C. Overnight Soccer Camp, then held at the Williston Northampton School. Dan was moved by his experiences as a summer camp professional and as the father of a soccer-loving daughter to found the Berkshire Soccer Academy for Girls in Otis, Massachusetts, in 2011. Dan has guided the Academy’s development and expansion since inception and will do the same for the West Virigina facility.
In addition to working with Berky’s leadership team, Dan spends time on a variety of camp-related endeavors. He provide consulting services to camp owners and operators, serves as an advisor to North American Camp Trust and mentors and advises young camp professionals purchasing their own camps.
Dan is a past President, current Treasurer, and longtime Board Member of SCOPE, a leading camp charity that provides camp scholarships to underserved children.
